International 4-H Japanese Exchange Program

NYS 4-H will be hosting 16 Japanese youth, ages 12-15, from July 21 through August 18, 2017. Japanese youth will be matched with Host Families based on the Host Siblings gender, age and interests. There is also an opportunity to host one Japanese adult chaperone.

Do you and your family have a young person living in the home who is 12-15 years old? Does your family have an interest in learning about Japanese culture? You can live anywhere in New York State but will need to be available to drive to Syracuse for the arrival and orientation of the delegation, return to Syracuse half way through the program, and finally to bring your student back to Syracuse for the departure event in August.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, and potentially becoming a Host Family this summer, please contact Andy Turner at the New York State 4-H Office to start the application process.
