nys4h4

National 4-H Council is pleased to announce that Ann Janson has been voted the Northeastern Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer for 2023! Volunteers like Ann help ensure that all kids have access to opportunities that allow them to reach their potential – creating a path to a better, brighter future. They are the “heart and soul” of 4-H, and we couldn’t be more excited to recognize Ann’s unwavering dedication.

A plaque will be created in Ann’s honor. Additionally, a $500 donation will be given in Ann’s name to the 4-H organization choice, Cornell CALS. A summary of Ann’s accomplishments will also be featured on the National 4-H Council Salute to Excellence website.

Congratulations Ann!

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
