4-H Shooting Sports State Shoot

Steuben County is hosting the 4-H Shooting Sports Spring State Shoot on May 16-18, 2025 at the Bath Rod and Gun Club. (7771 Telegraph Road, Bath, NY, 14810)  Lodging suggestions are in the Information packet.

Seven disciplines with three events each will be offered throughout the weekend for youth to compete, meet youth from across the state, and build some great memories.  Schedule is tentative depending on registrations. Youth can qualify to attend the National Championships in Nebraska in 2026 with this qualifying event. Youth may choose which they would like to participate in, as long as they have completed that discipline at their county level. Attached is the rules, general information, registration links, and tentative schedule. Any questions can be emailed to amz65@cornell.edu or call  607-664-2568.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
