Excited to share with you an invitation from The North Central Region Volunteer Specialists. Registration is now open for the course, Achieving the Extension Mission Through Volunteers. This national online cohort-based course is for novice and experienced Extension professionals in all program areas using volunteers to deliver programs. It will be held Jan. 22 - March 12, 2024. Course participants engage with content designed to increase volunteer leadership and management competencies. This course has impacted colleagues across the country. Over seven weeks, participants take part in pre-recorded sessions, readings and activities, and participate in three live webinars and three video conference calls. Staff will develop connections with colleagues from other states as they share ideas, provide feedback on volunteer management concepts, and explore different strategies to meet the needs of volunteers. Review the course flyer and handbook to learn more. Register now - space is limited, cost is $250 and you must register by close Dec. 29. Note you will need to create a Guest Account to register. Highly recommend this course and please reach out if you plan to register. Would love to hear more about your experience. Best, Kelly

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
