Allegany County 4-H Mourns Loss of 4-H Youth in Devastating House Fire

nys4h4

Like everyone, we were heartbroken yesterday when we learned about the tragic fire that devastated the Erway family, members of the Allegany County 4-H community.

We hold the survivors and those still under medical care in love and light as they face an unfathomably difficult period of healing and recovery, and we mourn for the youth, Tristan, Raymond, Evan, Mikalah, and Krysta, who lost their lives far too soon.

Below is some information about how others can reach out and offer support if able.

Support for the Erway Family

Charlie and Michele are selfless volunteers at our Allegany County Fair goat show. Charlie is the organizer and very friendly ring Stewart and Michele serves as show chair and checks everyone in. The boys can be found in the ring showing their own and others' goats as well as helping clean pens after the show. The Erway's are a goat family, training working goat wethers for pack and draft as well as showing dairy goats and making goat milk soap.
