Applications Now Open for Grow-NY Youth Contest - Apply by 10/1/2024

Now Accepting Youth Entrepreneur Applications

In partnership with Grow-NY, Cornell Cooperative Extension, NYS 4-H, FFA, and New York Agriculture in the Classroom, we are pleased to again share an exciting opportunity to build youth businesses in New York State.

Our youth are the next generation of business developers, agriculture, food, and technology leaders. With the hope of inspiring and investing in the future of food, outstanding middle and high school youth will be selected to attend the 2024 Grow-NY competition and pitch their business idea to a panel of judges.

The Grow-NY competition will take place November 6-7, 2024 in Ithaca, NY. Applications are due October 1, 2024 by 11:45pm EST. The first place winner will receive a cash prize.

More information to come about additional youth opportunities during the Grow-NY Competition.

Integrate the Competition into Your Classroom

A project-based learning (PBL) experience experience will help students look at the world as entrepreneurs, integrating core concepts of the Grow-NY Youth Competition into your classroom or club.

You can find the PBL instructions, milestones, template, and rubric on our website.

Check out the impressive entrepreneurs and projects from past Grow-NY Youth Competitions.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
