Writer's picture: kmc86kmc86

Colleagues,

Please join us for the next Remaining Whole, Human, and Hopeful, which will be facilitated by CCE DEI Core Leadership Team member Nicole Slevin Nikolados of CCE Sullivan.

During this month's RWHH gathering, we will explore inclusive hiring practices that promote retention, belonging, and contribution. Practical, “tried and true” strategies for inclusive and accessible recruitment and retention methods within the CCE system will be shared and discussed. We will outline strategies for advertising staff job openings to diverse audiences, equitable interviewing practices, and collaborative onboarding as key steps to support robust and inclusive recruitment and retention for staff as well as volunteer situations. Please come ready to engage and contribute to this conversation with practices and ideas from your respective county, team, and/or program.

Registration information is included below:

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
