Release of OCFS RFP 1131 Learning and Enrichment Afterschool Program Supports (LEAPS)

The NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) announces the release of a new funding opportunity:  Request for Proposals (RFP) # 1131 Learning and Enrichment Afterschool Program Supports (LEAPS) on 2/12/2024.

As NYS recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, schools and community organizations continue to see wide-ranging concerns from students and parents regarding student social, emotional, and mental health. Quality after-school programs in partnership with local schools and/or school districts will help strengthen children and families. Let’s LEAP together toward a strong future.  Eligible not-for-profit organizations may apply for NYS LEAPS initiative, a grant opportunity for the creation, development, and/or continuation of quality after-school programs.

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.
