GeoSpatial Team Challenge Workshop Nov. 29, 3pm

Last year the geospatial team challenged the youth of NYS to get out and create some art while they walked, biked, peddled, paddled or whatever modes of transportation they could think of. We are planning on challenging them again this year. We are offering a short virtual workshop on November 29 at 3 pm for educators, volunteers or anyone else you may think may be interested in learning more about this challenge and how to create art using GPS.

Please see the attached flyer and share it within your counties.

Thank you,

The NYS Geospatial Team

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
