Virtual PYD Academy:  Building Youth Resilience, Purpose, and Readiness through Positive Youth Development

 

Are your youth ready for work and life?  The goal is simple, yet profound: to foster resilience, purpose, and readiness in every young person you reach as you help them be ready for work and life.

 

The academy features a dynamic lineup to help you achieve your goal, including daily keynote speakers, 15 capacity-building sessions, and opportunities for making connections. Join the annual 4-H PYD Academy May 7-9!

Speaker Highlights: Meet our Keynote Speakers 

 

Stephanie Malia Krauss, MEd, MSW, is a leading voice on what young people need to be ready and well in a rapidly changing world. Her clients include US-based networks, coalitions, philanthropies, nonprofits, government, schools, and community groups. Stephanie writes for parenting and education outlets and her work has been featured on PBS NewsHour, US News, NPR, and more. She is the author of two books: "Whole Child, Whole Life: 10 Ways to Help Kids Live, Learn, and Thrive" and "Making It: What Today's Kids Need for Tomorrow's World."

 

Kendall Cotton Bronk, Ph.D., is a developmental scientist and professor of psychology at the Claremont Graduate University in Southern California. Research in her Adolescent Moral Development Lab focuses on the positive development and moral growth of young people. She has published more than 50 book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles on the topic. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Market Wired, NPR, NBC News Education Nation, and the Wall Street Journal.
