NYS 4-H Horse Bowl Results

nys4h4

The NYS 4-H Horse Program is pleased to announce the results from the 2023 NYS 4-H Horse Bowl contest on April 15th, 2023. We would like to thank Ann Janson, Heather Whitten, Barb Jones, all coaches, volunteers, youth, and parents who made this day possible without the help and support from all of you for this event would not have been possible.

This year we had 11 Junior teams and 12 Senior teams, the biggest year since prior to COVID. We were so happy with the turnout and to see great sportsmanship, knowledge, and laughter. We hope everyone had a great day!

Sincere Apologies to everyone:

It was brought to our attention that a mistake was made in the original Horse Bowl information sent out to educators and leaders. The email stated that all participants would receive rosettes and certificates. We are incredibly sorry if youth were expecting participation ribbons and certificates. This mistake was not noticed until halfway through the competition.

Please accept our apologies. Due to this oversite, we are offering participation ribbons to any NYS 4-H State Horse Bowl participant that did not receive a ribbon. Please email Barb at BJJ6@cornell.edu by June 1st with a list of names of the competitors requesting ribbons and one address ribbons can be sent to.

Please note, future NYS 4-H Horse Bowl competitions will not offer participation ribbons, but next time we will make sure that is reflected in the rules and information =)

Thank you,

The NYS 4-H Horse Team
