It was great to see many of you at 4-H Career Explorations! Hoping your summer is going well with Camps, County Fairs, and 4-H adventures of all kinds. Sharing an opportunity to explore something new that is highly relevant in many of our communities, and a potential collaborator and support for CCE and 4-H.
Please see the informational flyer and registration link for an opportunity to engage with the Northeast and Caribbean Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Center (NeC-ROTAC) in a virtual listening session on August 15. I recently had an opportunity to engage with this dynamic team and learn about their mission to develop and disseminates training and technical assistance to communities addressing opioid, stimulant, and other substance use disorders affecting rural communities. As part of this effort, the NeC-ROTAC has been working in close partnership with CCE to identify needs and establish priorities pertaining to behavioral health in agricultural communities. This listening session will explore how NeC-ROTAC resources could be leveraged to enhance both statewide and local 4-H objectives.
