Share Your Experience: NYSACCE4-HE 2023 Annual Conference Workshop RFP

The 2023 NYSACCE4-HE Annual Conference will be November 15 -16, 2023 at the Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, NY. This year's theme is “Reaching New Peaks”.

What sparks and fuels your work in 4-H Youth Development? The Professional Development Committee invites you to share your experience by leading a workshop or poster session during the Annual Conference. Workshops are one hour and fifteen minutes long and will be offered Wednesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday morning.

Looking for workshop ideas or trying to decide what you'd like to share with our community of 4-H Youth Development professionals? Recent feedback about professional development needs highlights Educator’s interest in these topics:

  • Learning about current research

  • Issues that are most affecting youth today – current research and trends

  • Volunteer engagement, including training and risk management

  • Program ideas, program sharing

  • Youth mental health and emotional development. Supporting youth through big emotions

  • Support for new staff

  • Facilitation tips and strategies

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion. Engaging new audiences and increasing accessibility for all youth.

  • Program design and development. Logistics of starting new programs.

  • Enrollment process and systems

  • Funding opportunities for programs

  • Networking and team building

  • Program work teams

  • Teen Engagement

  • Dealing with challenging situations with volunteers and families. Navigating conflict and having difficult conversations.
