Start Thinking About Summer! FREE program at UVM for teens.

nys4h4

Agrotek Innovation is a new program being offered by UVM College of Agriculture and Life Science and Extension/4-H that is designed to build AgriScience and Biotechnology skills for youth in middle and high school. This summer AgroTek Innovation will include two free, week-long, residential academies where participants will dive deep into one of two topics – Culturing Cells for Healthier Soils and Converting Waste into Value-Added Product.

Both academies will allow participants to learn, make connections with University researchers, and build relationships with undergraduate student mentors. We especially encourage those under-represented in ag careers (female-identifying, BIPOC) to participate. Learn more here.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
