Take the lead in helping 4-H in NY be Beyond Ready for the future!

We're inviting Extension professionals, volunteers, community partners, 4-H alumni, and 4-H youth leaders to join the NYS 4-H Beyond Ready Strategy Team. We are looking for people ready to collaborate with youth, volunteers, and educators across New York State to be part of developing a strategic vision that will help ensure 4-H remains impactful, inclusive, and Beyond Ready for the future.

4-H Beyond Ready is a national movement to prepare young people for the challenges and opportunities of the future. In New York State 4-H, we believe in the unlimited potential of all young people. With support from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, we are embarking on a strategic visioning project that will help guide 4-H in the future. This project will focus on understanding the changing strengths, opportunities, and needs of today’s New York State youth and imagining how NYS 4-H is poised to prepare youth to be Beyond Ready to dream, achieve, and thrive in a changing world.

Together, we will:

  • Strengthen partnerships between youth, adults, and community organizations locally, across the state, and nationally.

  • Ensure that 4-H programs address real needs, with a focus on youth leadership and career development.

  • Share 4-Hers’ stories and stories of 4-H impacts in New York State

  • Identify strategies for long-term program growth, benefiting both individuals and the organization.

Learn more and apply here by April 1 to share your interest in joining the team! Contact Alexa with questions.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
