It’s that time! Start registering your teens and youth to work in the youth building at the NYS Fair. Youth from 9-19 have the opportunity to gain valuable skills while helping in the youth building and they earn a small premium for each day worked. We need youth for all areas of the building from assisting in the county booths to working with our poultry science exhibit and everything in between. You can find more information on each opportunity on the NYS 4-H website as well as the nomination/registration links. Just scroll down to the tabs for Junior Supers and Teen Leaders.

I am also in need of Junior Superintendents. These older teens (16+) assist me and the NYS team in the daily operations of the building. They live on-site for large portions of the fair and gain valuable work skills while helping wherever needed in the 4-H Youth Building.

Check out these opportunities and share with your teens all the fun that is to be had at the Great NYS Fair!!

As always I am happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
