the Nature Study and Related Writings - Book Launch and Panel Discussion at NYU

Courtney Livecchi

A recent read, Liberty Hyde Bailey - the Nature Study Idea and Related Writings, edited by John Lindstrom (2023) re-affirms the timeless value of out of school time learning for youth as well as adults.

For those that live downstate (or anyone) a book launch and panel discussion will take place Monday Feb 5, 6-8pm at NYU. This book and the work of Liberty Hyde Bailey may resonate with your work in 4-H - book info can be found here (online version free to download) - https://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/.../the-nature.../

Land Acknowledgement

Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

This land acknowledgment has been reviewed and approved by the traditional Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫ' leadership. Learn more
