YNOE Professional Development Info for Staff


The Youth Nature and the Outdoor Environment (YNOE) Program Work Team is excited to share a professional development opportunity with you all! The event will be held on June 22, from 9:30 am to 2:45 pm. We will offer a workshop (schedule below) at the Montezuma Audubon Center at 2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY 13146

  1. 9:30 a.m. - Meet and greet with Audubon staff and CCE staff.

  2. 10:00 a.m. - Guided bird walk with Montezuma Audubon's Center Director, Chris Lajewski.

  3. 11:15 a.m. - CCE/Audubon collaboration on habitat restoration

  4. 12:00 p.m. - Provided lunch

  5. 12:45 p.m. - Discover Birds curriculum and resources with CCE staff.

  6. 2:00 p.m. - Resource/lesson "show and tell".

  7. 2:30 p.m. - Wrap up and final thoughts.

Before wrapping up for the day, we will have time dedicated to sharing ideas, resources, and curricula with one another, so please bring lessons or curricula that you use and are excited to share with others! Please bring paper copies to hand out. We will have a handful of 5 min time slots for those who want to briefly share their lesson.

There is no charge for participating, but SPACE IS LIMITED. Please ONLY REGISTER if you are able to attend.


We will reach out to participants about a week prior to the workshop and get lunch preferences.
